Forest Park Fall Festival Opens with Weeklong Celebrations
Forest Park plans a weeklong Fall Festival from September 30 to October 8. The event features a popularity contest open to women over sixteen, a grand parade, rides, window dressings, contests, and daily entertainment. Prizes include an Elgin wristwatch, modern aircraft luggage, and a deluxe radio, with five cent rides for children and celebrity night.

George Stovers Return From Western Tour
Mr and Mrs George A Stover and daughter Lucille of 141 Belvidere avenue have returned home after an extended major tour of the West. They visited Mr Stover’s mother in Alhambra California and saw Medicine Bow National Forest in Wyoming Salt Lake City and the Great Salt Lake beaches. They toured Mormon Temple Square Boulder Dam and visited movie stars homes in Hollywood Brentwood Beverly Hills Bel Air and Tijuana Mexico.
