Trampolines Face Uproar Over City Regulation
At a council meeting James Gallagher complained about a trampoline business at 16th and Harlem with nine objections including noise parking hours fencing and lighting. Commissioners urged compliance and possible shutdown if the operators fail to meet zoning rules by September 15. Mayor Meyer warned the business to comply within six days or be shut down.

Forest Park Board Names Assistants for Elementary Schools
The Forest Park Board of Education confirmed appointments of assistant principals and secretaries for four elementary buildings at the September meeting. Holmes Hamilton, former Grant White and Garfield principal, was not replaced. Craney moves to Grant White and Zdeb becomes Garfield principal.

Council Briefs Approve Parking Meter Fees and Signs
Parking meters collected 2193.88 dollars for August and two hour signs will be installed within a month to curb all day commuter parking. The council also grants a candy manufacturing permit at 754 Circle and a service station and used car lot permit at 753 Roosevelt with 40 employees expected.

Enrollment in Forest Park Public Schools rose in the opening week to 1006 from 975 last year. Gains occurred at Forest Park Junior High 219 up 13, Grant White 176 up 21, Garfield down 11 to 17, Field Stevenson 288 up, Betty Ross 146 down 11.
