Amusement Park Fire Suspected Firebugs At Park
Fire broke out at the amusement park on Tuesday evening around six thirty. A packing box was set ablaze under the coaster and another blaze appeared between the poolroom walls. Park officials suspect arson by firebugs and have instituted a strict watch to prevent further trouble.
Burglar Scare Ends With Firearm Firing Near Fritz Drug Store
In Madison street and resuit avenue neighborhood at about 1 40 amid bright moonlight two revolver shots startled residents. Officer Burtslaft reports two men in the rear of the Fritz drug store fled when he approached, one shouting words to alert others. He fired into the air to deter them. no damage or arrests followed as night vigilance and motorcycle patrols failed to locate the robbers.
