Mrs. Elizabeth Kaul Dies After Illness in Forest Park
Elizabeth Kaul wife of former Forest Park mayor Henry Kaul died September 3 1927 at West Suburban Hospital after a serious operation. Born April 5 1864 in St Louis her family attended St John Lutheran church and funeral services were held at the Kaul home and church. She leaves four children Henry Armin Gerhardt and Irma Beaupre and was active in church work and Ladies Aid Society. Burial was at Forest Home cemetery.

Louia Stahmer Wins Prizes for Garden
Louia A Stahmer won seventh place in district two of the Chicago Tribune garden contest earning a $15 prize. District two covers River Forest Oak Park Riveryside LaGrange Hinsdale and Berwyn. Eight hundred gardens competed, and the Stahmer yard features shrubs bushes various flowers and a fish pool with artistic design. During summer the family added a new house and plan to convert a rear building into a studio for Mr Stahmer an artist and poultry expert. Both Mr and Mrs Stahmer care for the garden with Mrs Stahmer handling weeding when he is away.

James Keene Robbed by Four Men on South Side
Jamies Keene of The Round-Up at 7514 Adams Street was held up by four men on the south side Saturday night after midnight. They beat him and robbed him of his watch and money before dumping him unconscious near an elevated stairway. A cab driver later delivered him to a police station and he testified in court Tuesday afternoon without identifying the attackers.

Church and Manse Undergo Change After Vacation
Rev Ira Livingston of First Presbyterian and Mrs Livingston with children returned from Decatur Michigan to find the church and manse at 32 Lathrop avenue greatly remodeled. Interior walls were washed and repainted, the gymnasium refreshed, and a torn pulpit platform to be rebuilt. The manse received complete redecorating and remodeling.
