Victor Lantz of United States Mien Co. was driving on Noomavelt road two weeks ago when the front wheel flew off. He swerved to avoid an oncoming car, struck a culvert, and was badly injured, spending a week at Oak Mark hospital. Lantz lives in Villa Park and the collision also wrecked his car.
Proviso Township High School opens the regular term on Wednesday at 8:30. New students must bring their grade school diplomas for entry. William Dorman of Forest Park died Sunday August 24 at his family home 173 North Leaming ton Avenue Austin after seven years of ill health. Born August 3 1858 in Helberg Germany he lived 12 years at 520 Maple Avenue Oak Park before moving to the Austin residence a few years ago. Funeral services were held at his late home then Zion Evangelical Church with Rev Koenig and Rev Julius Kircher officiating. Interment was at Concordia. Survived by Lena his wife two married daughters Amanda McBeth of Forest Park and Agneta McMillan seven grandchildren including Fern and Bernice Blatter.
