Fireman killed on railroad in tragic collision
Carter G Risberg, 27, fireman for the Rack Island railroad for eleven years, was killed instantly when his train collided with a Pennsylvania line near Heverly Hills station. He was unmarried, served in World War I, and was a member of the American Legion Forest Path Post. Services planned for Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with burial to follow in Beloit. He was the son of Mr and Mrs P Risberg and brother of Mrs Robert De Die.

Survived by wife Marie. Funeral attended by Forest Park officials and former neighbors as the Pistor family owned the home on Ferdinand Avenue.
