Yale Senior Wins Prudential Actuarial Scholarship
John F. Woyke of 617 Hannah Street, a Yale University senior, received a $500 actuarial scholarship from Prudential Insurance Co. Woyke was among 16 recipients chosen from 40 U.S. and Canadian participants after a summer of work and study at Prudential's Newark home office. He has passed one actuarial exam and will advance through further exams to gain fellowship in the Society of Actuaries.

Royal Feast for First United Dinner

Funeral services for Thomas Collis Sr a Forest Park pioneer businessman who died from a gun shot accident will be held today. Born December 24 1882 in Europe he and wife Clara ran the Jack and Jill Candy Shop on Madison St for 30 years before retirement. Survived by four children two daughters and 12 grandchildren with five great grandchildren. brothers James and Louis in the United States and two brothers and a sister in Europe.
