Vehicle tag applications mailed with water bills
Applications for 1978 vehicle stickers are sent with October to December water bills. Village Clerk William R. McKenzie explains how to submit forms with a check, or bring them to village hall. After hours payments use a new night depository at the municipal building. Rates: 10 dollars under 35 hp, 16 dollars 35 hp and higher. From January 1, 1978 senior citizens 65 and over pay 3 dollars and must apply in person with a driver’s license. Under 35 hp applicants must show state license ID or title. Stickers will be delivered December 1. Additions applications can be obtained by calling 306-2323. Those renewing a specific vehicle license number should not deto bringing the completed application to the village hall.

Forest Park Oktoberfest weathered, still thrives and entertains
Forest Park hosted a multi day Oktoberfest at the Naval Reserve Station with German bands, food stalls, a canceled ride, and a strong crowd despite cold rain. Attendees enjoyed bratwurst beer and socializing, while Navy recruitment materials and a popular Dynkem game drew families and teens alike.

Carey to Speak at Forest Park Chamber Luncheon
Cook County States Attorney Bernard Carey is slated to address Forest Park Chamber of Commerce at 11 45 a m Tuesday at Homer's Restaurant. He was delayed in September by Eisenhower Expressway traffic, arriving as guests were leaving. He will take questions after opening remarks.
