Forest Park Boy Hit by Car Hospitalized With Head Lacerations
A 24 year old Forest Park boy Mark Terbush of 516 Desplaines was struck by a car driven by William F. Chiniquy of River Forest as he darted between parked cars on Desplaines Avenue in Oak Park. The impact threw him 25 feet 6 inches. he is in Oak Park hospital with severe head lacerations and possible skull fracture. The accident occurred at 12 33 p.m. Saturday.

The board of education will open bids on the 1,150,000 Forest Park elementary school bond issue Tuesday evening October 16. Officials will also review contractor bids to tear down Garfield school and build anew on the site with alternates considered to cut costs. Seven bids for Garfield ranged from 356,704 to 387,380.

Boy Wants Letters from Friends After Arm Injury
Kevin Farrell, 11, of 102 Lathrop, broke his arm two weeks ago while playing football. An x ray revealed a cyst at the elbow. He underwent surgery Tuesday at Oak Park hospital and now has a cast. He recuperates nicely and would like mail from friends. captain of his St Luke's sixth grade football team. This marks the third year he has been hurt playing football.
