Two Cicero Car Thieves Captured Here After Chase
Two 17 year old Berwyn youths, Robert Bartlett and John Loftis, robbed Charles Bauer in Cicero at 11 20 pm and stole his wallet and a maroon 1941 Ford convertible. After a chase that reached Roosevelt and Circle, police fired shots and the youths surrendered near Berwyn. They were held on auto larceny and armed robbery charges. Bartlett had prior five year probation for a $10 000 jewelry robbery in Chicago.

Purses stolen as two attend party
Nine young ladies gathered for a social evening, seven returned with purses. Mrs. William Sisson and Mrs. B D C Henderson lost purses valued at about 51 dollars. A burglar climbed a ladder to the bedroom window at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Roger White and removed the purses from the bed, then fled after taking the money.
