Great Sister Visit From Europe Heats Chicago Area
Last Saturday was homecoming for the Henry Guenthers of 7540 W Harrison. Mrs Guenther’s parents Mr and Mrs Wm Jebens of B188 Lathrop returned from New York where they welcomed Mrs Jebens’ sister Mrs Hitzler to the United States. Mrs Hitzler arrived aboard the Italia on November 7 from Hamburg Germany for a visit to the Chicago area. She has friends in the Chicago area not seen since 1938. Mrs Guenther toured Europe in 1954 and Mrs Schleicher of Forest Park, Mrs Guenther’s grandparents, toasted Hitzler’s arrival. Before Chicago Mrs Hitzler toured the east coast to Washington DC with Jebens renewing ties from China and elsewhere. She will stay in the Midwest beyond Christmas then travel to St Petersburg Florida to visit relatives before returning to Europe.

Parents Club to Hold Dance on December 7th
The West Suburban Parents Club for Exceptional Children hosts its Fifth Annual Dance on Saturday December 7 at Sokol Tabor Hall Bed 16th and Clarence. Don Wales and his orchestra with a girl vocalist perform while an accordionist plays in the lounge. Door prizes await and tickets are 1.50 at three local contacts or at the door.
