With the Tuesday election a matter of history the Review presents a figure picture of the vote in Forest Park with totals in the Township. Figures don’t lie yet liars figure so we present only the figures drawn up by Chuck Husseyn and his corps of assistants for which the Review gives thanks.
The American Legion marks Armistice Day with wreaths and cemetery flags on November 11, 1938, recalling 1918. Forest Park Post plans a Memorial Hall event November 12 at Circle Avenue and Adams Street to cap a year of community education and activities, including honoring veterans and appointing Henry Lebovite as Roy State chairman for Cook County 1939.
Forest Park Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Ladies Night dinner at Triangle cafe on Wednesday evening November 30. The event features dinner, floor show, and dance with a special orchestra for the music. Committee members Ben Herliner John Crawford Leslie Hurwitz and Edmund Trage is coordinating. Tickets are on sale with advance orders and directors are selling. Special tables can be arranged by contacting committee members.
The Community M. E. Church hosts its December 7 bazaar at the Adams and Thomas location. Dinner is served at six, followed by an evening of entertainment. Bring friends to enjoy the event.
The St Johns Choral Society presents Long Long Ago a three act drama romance and comedy on November 15 17 and 18 at 8 pm in the St Johns Assembly Hall Circle and Washington streets. Adults 35 cents Children 15 cents.
Frank J. Orland has been named associate editor of the Mini Scope, student publication for the colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy at the University of Illinois.
Forest Park Red Cross unit aims to boost its annual Roll Call membership from 300 plus last year. Amid floods and disasters the drive opens Friday November 11, 1938 and runs to a closing date to be announced.
Forest Park Grill will begin serving Turkey Dinners starting Saturday night November 12 with a cranberry sauce for 35 cents. The menu also offers cake and chops with Italian spaghetti and ravioli at all times. Thanksgiving day hours noted. Membership drive announced with Al E Ehrhardt as chairman seeking volunteers and contributions. Forest 254 or 1250 calls for further information.

The Grant-White Parent-Teachers Association will hold a regular meeting Friday November 11 in the Grant-White Auditorium. The session begins at eight o'clock with an interesting program planned.
