Honor Pioneers of Presbyterian Church Reunion Event

An evening reunion at Forest Park's Presbyterian Church honors past members. The program starts 6 p.m. with refreshments in the old Sunday School hall, now a historic gymnasium. A devotional service follows featuring an exhibit “Skid Row in Pictures” about Chicago homeless relief work.

Dimes Names Co Chairs For Forest Park March

Dimes appoints Mrs. Edward Lusthoff and Mrs. David Johnson as co chairmen in Forest Park to lead the month long Mothers March campaign. They plan volunteer coordination and a residential appeal on January 28 to raise funds against birth defects arthritis and polio.

Make-up Sunday for Oral Vaccine Campaign

The Forest Park oral polio vaccine drive drew almost 5000 participants on Saturday for rapid protection. A make-up session is set for next Sunday from 2 to 6 pm at the Park Building at Beloit and Harrison for those who missed Nov 2. Dr Phyllis Orland urged babies over six weeks and all children to attend, noting the vaccine provides lasting protection and is preferable to Salk shots. No vaccine will be offered at local grade schools.

Sandquist Speaks to Young Republicans

Elroy Sandquist Jr GOP candidate for Attorney General to address the Proviso Township Young Republican club November 13 at GOP Headquarters 11018 17th Maywood. He previously ran for Cook County Judge and served as a naval officer in World War II. He is an attorney with State's Attorney office experience. Meeting begins 8 p.m. All young adults invited. Future YA events include a This Old House party at the haunted house on Desplaines Ave November 30.
