Memorial Poppies Drive Seeks Used Clothing From Residents
Memorial Poppies Local Group asks Forest Park residents to donate used clothing for the needy as part of Poppy Day efforts. Veteran makers at Hines Hospital produce poppies directed by Lucile Block to honor the dead of world wars and aid veterans families and children. Women volunteers prepare the displays and arrangements while the Sewing Circle at 502 Thomas and the Fellowship Deaconary coordinate clothing donations by calling Forest Park 6446.
