More than 100 village youths attended Forest Park’s inaugural Forest Park Youth organization meeting on April 27 to plan a youth center. Gerty Linge and Pete De Luca were elected co chairmen, with district representatives named for boys and girls. Plans for a suitable center location and a workable program are in progress, with a May 4 date set for officers to finalize the program. The Youth Organization committee led by Mr Blazek, including Homer Bale and Police Chief William Kern, is handling the center’s securing efforts, while Officer John Tobin will serve as adult director. Tickets are on sale for a Bloomer Girls versus Queens baseball game.
