V.E.W. Installs New Officers in Forest Park Post Ceremony
Forest Park VFW Post 7181 held an April 2 installation of officers in a joint ceremony. Rosemary Adamson was named president for 1972 73 with Marie Farina as Sr. VP and Viola Graley as Jr. VP. Also listed are secretary Barbara Marousek treasurer Charlotte Sisson chaplain Rose Stickel guard Ida Bangert and trustee Gerry Bruhn.

Clean-Up Crew Meeting to Finalize May Campaign Details
The Environmental Commission and partner groups will gather at Village Hall Saturday at 9 30 AM to finalize promotion and follow up plans for the Clean Up Paint Up Fix Up drive starting May 15. The Mayor and Council will join the Saturday session.

Forest Park Park Board elects new president and vice president
At the last regular meeting of the Board of Park Commissioners for the Park District of Forest Park Anthony DiFoggio of 7245 14th Street was unanimously chosen President for the coming fiscal year. Gary Flak was elected as vice president. DiFoggio was elected to the Park Board three years ago with three years remaining in his term.

Real estate tax installments due dates announced
Taxpayers are informed that the first installment of the 1971 Real Estate Property Tax is due June 1, 1972. The second installment is due September of the same year.
Man Killed by Truck on Roosevelt Road
An unidentified man in his early sixties was killed when he ran in front of a truck on Roosevelt Road near the Desplaines River. Police concluded the death was by his own action. The driver, from out of town, said the man appeared to wait to cross then flung himself in front of the vehicle. He died hours later at Loyola Hospital. He had no ID and wore clothes with labels removed. Forest Park detectives will pursue identification through fingerprints and a possible artist sketch.
