Rural survey prompts unity over denominational ties
In the Mississippi Valley Prairievills area, rural leaders and residents of two small churches seek to dissolve denominational bonds and form a single community fellowship. A Interchurch World Movement supervisor guided a four hour session urging a unified approach, delaying federated church plans to pursue denominational sharing instead. The move reflects broader rural frustration with ministry efficiency and a push for local democratic control.
