Judge Philip Sullivan of Cook County Circuit Court sustained the demurrer filed by Walter W L Meyer and Frank G Sourahda in the suit by Joe Jyn Manufacturing Co to force Forest Park to grant a permit for an office building on the Ilote Central right of way connected to a pole yard. Neighbors opposed the project. The decision is a setback for the company though it does not end the dispute. The village and its attorneys gain a significant victory. The Joslyn company cannot begin building and must raise cash or abandon the plan.

Forest Park Youth Injured In Head On Taxi Collision
Juslun Gittleson son of Eh Gittleson a dry goods merchant was injured Saturday when a Yellow taxi carrying four youths returning from a dance collided with another Yellow at Washington boulevard and Lombard street. He and an Oak Park woman were taken to Went Sub Urban hospital for treatment. The two Chicago youths and two university students endured injuries with minor ones. The driver faces possible court explanation of the crash.

Forest Park Commercial association met at Legion hall Tuesday evening to discuss matters of general community interest. Thirteen new members were accepted, and the membership drive will run to April 20 and end with a tag. A large drive aims to involve all members. The playground issue was urged for support in the village council special election. Amusement park inclusion in forest preserve was referred to a special committee with Thomas Trapanees added. There is a rumor land may have been sold, with petitions to the county board possible. Harrison street west from Des Plaines avenue was endorsed, and a committee was formed to work with Kiwanis. Ernest Raich and Fred Rampels were endorsed for accessor and town clerk respectively. Berberich, father of Mia Ed Tacoba, will travel to Germany for several months after a nervous breakdown.
