Memorial service and district meeting for VFEW notes
The 4th district Ladies Auxiliary sets a memorial service for deceased veterans on Wednesday March 27 at 8 p.m. at Skokie Valley V.F.W. Post in Skokie. A 4th district meeting follows Sunday at the Berwyn Post Home. The post commits $800 to community services split between police and firemen benevolent funds.

Mrs Margurite Albrecht died March 1 in Westlake Hospital at age 81 after 51 years at 1008 Troost Funeral services were held March 13 at Zimmermans with Rev ROW Roth of St Peters officiating She is buried in Wallheim Cemetery beside her husband who died Sept 30 1947 Her German born life included Lutheran baptism She was a Royal Neighbors member and past Borrowed Time Club president Surviving are son Richard Albrecht two grandchildren five great grandchildren two sisters and a brother
