Fourth of July Celebration in Forest Park Promises Big Parade

The Forest Park Fourth of July events will span two days July 3 and 4 with outdoor dancing on a red floor, Maeder's Merry Makora orchestra, boxing and wrestling, and a match between local wrestler Jack Hermanson and Marked Marvel. Fireworks by the American Legion will dwarf prior displays, with two stands on Madison and Beloit marshalling funds for Memorial Hall Building Fund. Parish plans include a parade lineup featuring Buotti’s infantry band, many floats, and prizes including three silver cups and a cedar chest. The parade forms at 1:00 p.m. July 4 at Jackson boulevards and Wigil street.

Moose Convention Delegates Named From Local Lodges

Carl G. Richter will represent Loyal Order of Moose Proviso Lodge 245 at the final Moose convention in Toledo, Ohio. Barbara Horn will represent the Women of Mooseheart Legion and Eugene Joyaux will represent the Junior Order of Moose. The event runs June 27 through 30, with sessions on Monday to Thursday.

Honeymoon Return For Ener Flelachfrasser Couple

Neighborhood club women host matinee luncheon and theater party

The Neighborhood club held its annual luncheon at the La Salle hotel for thirty five members, featuring a three course menu. President Mrs Barbara Flora received a bouquet, and Mrs Henry Buellesfeld was thanked and given a gold pencil for her Dakota departure. The Punsley Show at Apullo theater capped the afternoon, praised for its air conditioned, comfortable setting and entertaining performances.

Delta Sigma Kappa Activities Reported in June Meeting

Delta Sigma Kappa met at the home of Misses Mildred and Georgine Koalek on Elgin Avenue for final business. Ethel Maneen and Ady Ziegler were initiated. Plans include a North Shore beach party, a July 2 Thatcher's Woods event, and a Delena lake trip in July. Lipuse Stantak, secretary, takes vacation and will resume notices in September. The estate of John Condon, Harlem race track owner and pioneer trif Man of Chicago, was closed in Probate Court.
