Demonstrators Picket War, 1500 Illinois Servicemen Remembered
Last Sunday noon in Forest Park the West Suburban Clergy and Layman Concerned staged a peaceful protest at the Selective Service Board Office. About 50 youths and adults read aloud the names of 1500 Illinois servicemen killed in the war while police maintained order. the event lasted two hours with no incidents reported.

Park officials nominate Broehl for lieutenant and Klein for sergeant
