Two juveniles damaged park property last Tuesday by stealing metal items from a motor driven lawn mower and removing bolts from a light mast, causing a fifty foot collapse of a 1500 watt globe and denting the reflector. They were detained until parents paid damages, with charges of petty larceny and destruction of public property possible if restitution had not occurred. Park officials warn violators to stop and face legal consequences.

Nine hundred St John s Lutheran church and school children will parade through Forest Park on Saturday June 24 for the annual picnic. The south side group departs 1037 Marenge Ave at 9 30 am to meet the main line at Circle Ave and Madison St Wham then proceeds to the forest park grove. Children wear flags and colorful caps and gowns as bands and officers march to the picnic grounds with games songs and drills planned for both children and adults. Entrance fees cover expenses not profit and aim to reflect church spirit and community fellowship.

July 4th Pageant at Forest Park by Recreation Dept and American Legion
