Quitsch Florist beat Andy's Set Back 18 to 10 with Jaffee and Koch homering. Spinelli homered for the losers. Christina's topped V F W 23 to 11 as Schlethe Mazanti homered for the winners and McCullough homered for the losers. Vis Lounge edged Chuck's Set Back 12 to 11 in a seesaw battle. Fair Oaks defeated Richards 12 to 9 in a tight game. Moose beat St Bernardine's 15 to 10 in the nightcap. Schedule lists June 10 Moose vs St John 8:45 and other matchups through June 14 with multiple Set Back and Fair Oaks games.

Colts Start Season With Losses Then Fast Home Opener
The Forest Park Moose Colts opened with two defeats last weekend to Elmwood Park 7-1 and then were routed at home 8-1 by West Leyden. Pat Falho and Bob Crane hit the team’s only run on a pair of doubles and Greg Paeth took the loss for Forest Park. They travel to Norridge Saturday and host Oak Park Cowards Sunday at 1 p.m.

Forest Park Girls Softball Take Weekend Games in Indy
Forest Park girls split four games in Indianapolis over the weekend. They beat Kalamazoo 4 3 in nine innings with Bobbie Myers driving in Sharon Baron on a ninth inning triple after a Myers homer gave the locals the lead. A 9 4 setback followed as Carol Bush was hit hard and Kalamazoo rallied in the sixth. Sunday saw routs to Terre Haute 8 2 and 11 3 as Judy O Connor and Lois Bochman each had two hits in game one while Wanetta Elliott Bev Dunham and Bachmann had two hits in game two. Forest Park returns home June 22 to face the Iowa State champions from Des Moines.
