Currency Exchange Opens in Forest Park Bank Building
A currency exchange promoted by Merchants Division and Forest Park Chamber of Commerce will open Saturday morning in the bank building at Madison street and Hannah avenue. G DeVaugh Commons will operate the exchange with modern equipment and a bullet proof cage. Henry C. Rieck will lease space in the banking room and move his offices there. Rieck, longtime Forest Park business figure, also serves as director and vice president of the chamber and chairs the Merchants Division. The Bank Building Corporation will run the safety vaults.

Pro vino township board approves bills despite petitions
At Forest Park on Monday night the Pro vino township board met in the town clerk’s office. Bills passed included 100 for Jesse Marcus for April legal services and a monthly retainer of 100. Harold Neary thistle commissioner claimed 762. The board raised its own meeting salaries from 5 to 7.50. Clerk Ehrhardt queried the clerk’s pay and Marcus noted the clerk is entitled to 4.00. Supervisor Richter’s report showed 28501.48 receipts and 1078.20 disbursements.
