Proviso High Graduates and Commencement Plans
Graduates from Proviso High School will celebrate with a June commencement at the auditorium led by Dr. Gilkey of Clyde Burk. Events include a Sunday service, a pipe organ debut by Philip Lattune, an alumni banquet, and a class day with plays and a valedictory by Evelyn Geld. Sixty-eight graduates, ages 16 to 20, from Maywood and surrounding towns represent thirteen nationalities, with 93 boys and 70 girls in the class of 1924.

Obituary of Mrs Katherine Baumann 83 in Forest Park
Mrs Katherine Baumann 83 died Sunday at her daughter’s home. Born in Württemberg Germany in 1841 her husband came to the United States and fought in the Civil War. They later lived in New Jersey and Chicago where she remembered the great fire. They moved to Forest Park thirteen years ago and she remained active in the Ladies of the G A R. Survived by two daughters Mrs Hean and Mrs Lttle Kyvans of Chicago and one son Robert Baumann plus seven grandchildren. Funeral Wednesday at the daughter’s home with Rev Weling Buch officiating. Interment Oakwood Chicago with Undertaker Blatter in charge. Grandsons and Victor Kraft pallbearers.
