Forest Park village council and Mrs. Howard Whelpley clashed for nearly an hour over interpretation of the building code for multi dwelling units. Attorney Edward O Shea defended code compliance with a nationally known architect confirming conformity. Acting Mayor Lambke urged consulting an architect, ending the meeting in a draw.

Second Installment On Taxes Due With Penalty Warning

Chicago Transit Authority hosts an open house at its new rapid transit inspection and service shop at 71 S. Des Plaines from 7:30 to 10 PM. The facility cost about 1 million dollars and supports production line inspection and maintenance for Congress, Douglas and Milwaukee routes.
