Forest Park is named as a collection station by the Anti-Cruelty Society for unwanted animals and birds. The society will send its ambulance weekly on Wednesdays to collect them, transporting to 157 W. Grand Chicago 10 for adoption or humane disposal. Edens Super Hiway to be finished this year says Erickson
President William N. Erickson of the county board told motorists the Edens parkway detours are temporary and the most modern automobile expressway will be ready by year’s end. He explained exits will be at designed access points only and urged drivers to observe speed limits and signs. Detours listed at Devon to Dundee and County Line roads. several intersections are blocked during construction.
