Regular Republican Picnic Set for Proviso at Miller Meadow
About 10 000 people are expected Sunday August 22 at Miller Meadow Island Roosevelt for the Regular Republican Organization of Proviso annual picnic chaired by Jon Lonergan. Last year about 8000 attended with music free refreshments gifts for children horse shoe pitching and surprises planned. Food and refreshments will be available at the grove for those who do not bring lunch.

Trout and Collins To Lead July 20 Baseball School
The Recreation baseball school run two days weekly this summer, led by Art Setietwe with assistants Bill Wendling and Glen Schuchting, will host a July 20 session at 1 p.m. with Major League White Sox and Cubs staff.
