The First United Church of Christ gathered for its 100th annual Congregational Meeting led by Rev. Laslo L. Hunyady. H. Charles Christenson was elected president for two years as renovation plans advance under the Centennial Committee. Additional officers and deacons were chosen, with installation scheduled for Sunday 10:45 a.m. The sanctuary renovation began with repainting, and more work including flooring, seating, heating upgrades, and new chairs is targeted for completion by October as part of the centennial project.
On February 3 at 8 p.m. the Italian Catholic Federation of St Bernardine will convene in the school hall. The group extends sincere thanks to all who supported the Spaghetti Dinner fundraising program.
The Welfare Society Infant Welfare board will convene at Mrs. Mary Pluchino's home, 1509 Marnego, on Wednesday February 3 at 8 p.m. Circle representatives are asked to submit the Calendar Money.

Officers and board members emphasize the sanctuary rededication to God as the congregation marks 43 years in Forest Park since its 1865 Chicago origins. Formerly First German Reformed Church, it moved in 1922, built a new church completed in 1928, renamed in 1943, added an education building in 1957 at over $70,000, and paid off debt last year.
