Registration for Pony and Colt teams for 13 to 16 year old boys will occur Sunday 2:30 to 4 p.m. at Park Building Harrison and Beloit. Fee is 3.00 with 1.00 refund for Tag Day workers. Late registrants fined 1.00. Parents should accompany sons to receive the 1964 program.
A 500 strong audience at the Chateau last week marked the Chamber of Commerce banquet. Pioneer businessmen Al Roas and Henry Rieck received emotional acknowledgments as Ed Miklas won praise with his acceptance speech. Outgoing President Jim Dale was honored for his term. Edward O'Shea hosted, Mayor Mohr urged village unity, and Madlyn's Apparel won the window display trophy.
Forest Park police answered 3,497 complaints in 1963 covering investigations from auto collisions to burglaries and robberies. About 4,700 arrests were for moving traffic violations and 10,700 parking tickets were issued as patrols covered 131000 miles. The losses reported totaled roughly 145000 locally and 132000 from other cities recovered locally.

The Park Board backs placing a 0.05 percent tax increase for corporate purposes on the April 4 ballot after a December defeat. An advisory committee will review the proposal and public meetings will address questions on the tax hike.

Proviso Evening School seeks adult singers for a choral group with auditions on Thursday January 30 at 7 30 p m in room 326 Proviso East high Those accepted after audition may register for membership in the group.
