Attention voters. January 20 is the last day to register to vote in the April primaries. Change of name or address must be registered, as well as new entrants to the district. Registrations are taken at the Village Clerk's office, Village Hall, 517 Desplaines.
Minutes cover a regular meeting of Forest Park Village Council Cook County Illinois January 12 1948. Communications note opposition to Chicago West Towns Railway rate increases and filing. Applications approve Ritz Food Shop license at 7445 Randolph. Department reports accepted. Bills approved to vendors including City of Chicago water hydrants coal and office supplies. Parking meter bids rejected. new bids ordered. Mandamus suit over liquor licenses discussed with pretrial conference set. Ordinance amendment on permit fees advanced. Community concerns include Madison Street hazard and gratitude to Thomas McQueen for swift work. Salt usage discussed and city dressing on Desplaines Avenue flagged for revision.
