Christmas card drive by the VFW collects cards and excess toys for Dix on children. Pickup arranged after 8 p.m. by calling FOG-9802. Also notes GI insurance premiums and grace period reminders. Roy R. Soden named 1986 National VFW Convention leader. Chicago hosts Aug 24–20 and state meeting June 25–27.
The Forest Park Woman's Club will meet Tuesday at 1 p.m. in St. Peter's Parish Hall at Hannah and Adams. Fred Svitula of Oak Park will present a program titled Telstar offering a behind the scenes view. Hostesses are Mesdames Ring Connolly Engel Konietzko Miller Newell C Smith and L Smith.
Mayor Mohr announces 1965 reforms to improve village services including ordinance reviews, curb and streetlight repairs, and policy changes. At Bond's Supper Club banquet Jan 30, tickets are $8.50 with dinner prizes and entertainment. reservations via FO 6 2543.
St. John hosts its annual sauerkraut supper sponsored by the Ladies Aid and Ruth Guild. The event runs Thursday from 5 to 7 pm with reservations via Mumm at 366-0691 by Monday.
Forest Park National Bank, led by president Howard F. Sammon, announced all time high resources and earnings for 1964. The year shows $4.42 earnings per share, a 37 percent rise in net operating income, and about $1 million higher deposits. The bank paid a regular $1.00 per share semi annual dividend plus a 50 cent year end special dividend.
Spaghetti dinner hosted by the Italian Catholic Federation of St. Bernardine in the school cafeteria from 4 to 7 p.m. Adults donate $1.25 and children $0.75 with large family rates. Proceeds fund English-Latin missals for the church and convent. At the federation’s last meeting, new officers were installed including Pres Thomas Misiant and Treas Mrs. Mary Meola.
Dorothy O Malley of Bell Telephone will present pictures of New York's World Fair to the Senior Citizens Club at 1 pm on Tuesday. The club meets every Tuesday from 10 am to 4 pm at the Park Building Be Jo dt and Harrison.
