Uncle Sam Business Man Dies After Long Suffering

William Crawford, age about 48, longtime Chicago area plumber, died December 5 or 6 after a street accident left him with injuries years earlier. He leaves wife and four children, John, William, Gragend, and Mabel, with services at his home and at Honor Presbyterian Church, Forest Home cemetery. He had served in community roles including Forest Park school board and was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Neighborhood Club Hosts Christmas Program for Children

The Neighborhood Club held a Friday afternoon program for children with readings by Mrs Susburts and a musical segment. Santa Claus distributed gifts, tea was served, and a snowball game closed the event. Hostesses were Harriet Howler, Deceeta Joyaux, and Kila Bharp-Jent. The next meeting is planned for January with Mendawex Lotta and two hosts.

New Year Merriment and Festive Club Gatherings

The community marked the old year with feasting dancing and merriment at the Community Club with eighty guests including members wives and friends. A midnight turkey supper followed hours of dancing led by Werry Milton Chaufoux and Kenneth Cunningham. Maudey Village Council Weekly Session Report

The Maudey village council met with Mayor presiding. Commissioners Mann, Wiichulaky, Wendt, Kant, Pietsch, and others attended. Minutes were approved. a death notice for Mrs Pietsch prompted a memorials discussion. A request from A. Q. Roo for $25 broker tax, insurance licenses to Chicago, and public fare proposals were folded to the attorney and officials for action. Bills were read and sent to department heads. Attorney Hutton noted half the purchase price for new tanks may be needed before delivery, referred to Commissioner Michalsky. The meeting adjourned.

Col Brinkerhoff Post Alti will hold a public meeting Monday night at 3 80 o'clock for the installation of new officers at the Post Hall Lake Street Oui Park. The public is invited and members urged to attend this important start to the new year.
