Jackie on furlough helps Red Cross at Forest Park meeting

A Friday night meeting at the Municipal Building showcased 25 surgical dressings division workers in caps and aprons. Jackie, home on furlough from Harlem Avenue, immediately joined the effort, inspiring other men to join in. Meetings continue Fridays from early afternoon to 10 pm in the committee room of the Municipal Building.

O K I Hi Camp Fire Plans Ceremonial at Municipal Pier

The O K I Hi Camp Fire girls with guardian Mrs J H Mueller visited Lakeview Saturday to buy head band material. Guardians meet in summer camp on Abrabene Avenue. Mueller was asked to join a committee for the Masa Ceremonial at a future Municipal Pier date. About 10 000 Camp Fire girls will take part in this event amid the week meeting.

The Forest Park Boy Scout Troop No 1 distributed the president's Flag Day address to citizens as part of wartime work. Beginning February 7 the troop launched a write stem campaign throughout the village, hoping for strong cooperation from all patriots.

Min Ryan, Cook County deputy, filled in for the delayed Great Commander Mrs Frances Burna. At the council meeting last night a communication from Gita Gobnteder, proprietor of Otto's Price, thanks the Forest Park Fire department chief Priess and Bremen for efficient service at the Great bio building. It notes three checks issued: one for dollars to the Forest Park department, another for fifteen dollars fog, and twenty five dollars to be forwarded to the Oak Park Fire department. John Bushler was injured at the fire, with twenty five dollars to be forwarded to Oak Park.

Public Installation of Royal Neighbore of America Officers
