1st Lt Francis Carroll Awarded Combat Infantryman Badge
1st Lt Francis W Carroll was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge for sustained ground contact in Pleiku Vietnam on December 28. He is the son of Mr and Mrs Francis A Carroll of 836 Hannah Ave and serves as a platoon leader in Company B 1st Battalion 14th Infantry 4th Infantry Division. The CIB is a blue rectangle with a silver rifle over a curved wreath and stars indicate subsequent awards. Southern Ohio University is cited as Alpha Delta Sigma headquarters.
