Citizens urged to vote February 18 in a special election to extend bonding power for Forest Park improvements. Federal funds cover part of the cost, with $325,000 from government and $50,389 from a federal allotment. remaining costs rely on local bonds and timely material delivery.

Death of George T Hills Funeral Held for Local Resident

Funeral services were held January 27 for George T Hills of 1339 Elgin Avenue. He was the beloved father of Max Hills Florence Hills in St Louis Kenneth Hills and several daughters. He is survived by sisters and brothers including Mrs Ida Withite Mrs Jeasie Myers and Whitford Hills with further relatives listed in the notice.

A Proviso township meeting announced five candidates led by Georg Nixon for county commissioner. The slate includes Alan de Ashcraft Jr of Evanston, Fred A.
