Kiwanians Share Santa Cheer With Local Children
Kiwanians gave 149 underprivileged children a Christmas morning gift spread including toys books games and dolls. George Handtman Fred Steers and Harry Wedlemann led the distribution as Charle Meseke praised the effort and Lloyd Lehman hosted a lively meeting with accordion solos by Leon Shash and a chamber music program by West Side high school students.

Lions Club Dispatches Four Trucks for Xmas Baskets
Four trucks were sent to Forest Park and River Forest districts for the Lions club annual Christmas basket distribution. Members coordinated effort under Dr. Leon Eisenman to pack and load the baskets quickly. By evening, fifty families were aided this Christmas as the volunteers delivered the baskets.

Forest Park Chamber of Commerce officers will be installed January 12 at Otto's restaurant. Wilbert Haase will be installing officer. Day Nursery Ass'n To Increase Membership
A membership drive under chairman Charles Mesvke will start in January for Forest Park Day Nursery association. The meeting at Mrs Edith Heilemann's home Tuesday drew Mrs Ma thide Petersohn Joyd Lehman W Keebler and others who outlined committees for constitution by laws ways and means publicity and house furnishings. Members invite donations of usable furnishings and toys to aid the nursery, with old items to be turned over to the fire department for rehabilitation until the May opening.

The Mothers' Club of St Bernardine staged a Yuletide party featuring a Christ CICEL prose, song, and pantomime by parochial school children. Greeting by Hale Regan and gifts for each grade highlighted the event, with Father Wagen er and Father Borchardt among attendees. The third anniversary will be celebrated January 4 with a midwinter luncheon and installation of officers led by Chaplain Rev. Kenneth Borchardt, President Mrs. Trene Fippinger, and other officers.
