Kiwanians Hear Choir Christmas Program at St Peter’s
Kiwanians at Porest Park enjoyed a Christmas program by the St Peter’s church treble choir directed by Carl Behnke. Irene Mull and other singers performed Oh Come All Ye Faithful Little Town of Bethlehem and Joy to the World. Arthur Weidemann Jr introduced Pedro Antonio Gonzales Archerver of Puerto Rico who detailed the island’s history culture and Christmas customs. He described Puerto Rico’s climate population and strategic naval role and noted ongoing reconstruction under American oversight.

Presbyterians Fill Church for Christmas Services
The Forest Park Presbyterian church held a Christmas program starting at 9 30 with soups recitations and devotion. A large 11 oclock service featured a sermon titled A Look Late the Manger as the choir performed Christmas music. The closing sermon depicted the wise men Herod and shepherds in a candlelit scene and ended with Silent Night Holy Night. At Loveluck a candlelight service drew a large crowd as evening fell.

Death of Mrs Olga Festner in Forest Park
Mrs Olga Festner died suddenly December 25 at her Forest Park home. She leaves husband Samuel Festner children Estelle and Owen, brother Herman, sisters Mrs Rank, Mrs Matthew Piersch, and Miss Frances Irgang. Born January 9 1966 in Chicago, she moved to Forest Park as a young woman, married Samuel Festner, was active in social groups and a nursing assistant at St John’s Lutheran Church. Funeral services were held at Zimmerman chapel to St John’s Lutheran Church Thursday afternoon with interment at Waldheim Cemetery.
