Park District Again Seeks Lower Water Rate
Forest Park Park District asks the village to cut the water rate from 17 1/3 cents to six cents per 100 cubic feet by tapping a branch main into the Chicago Forest Park system. Two boys aged 12 and 17 robbed Louis C. Keefer’s home at 627 Circle Avenue, taking nearly a hundred dollars in silver and paper money. They entered through a front porch window, damaged another, and were captured by Mr. Keefer when Ike returned home.
