Three Christmas Services At Reformed Church
Three services mark the Christmas season at First Evangelical and Reformed Church Elgin Harvard. A Sunday evening pageant titled Sing For Joy opens at 7 p.m with children and choirs under Luelle Schaefer and Margaret Wollpert performing. Christmas Eve candlelighting follows at 11 p.m with Rev. Carl W. Berger speaking There were Shepherds TM and Birthday of a King music by Neidlinger and Vincent. Church director Lucile Schaefer and organist Gus Becker lead. Christmas Day Holy Communion at 10 45 am with the pastor’s God With Us message. Public invited. Also notes a NCO club Christmas show at O Hare Field featuring Kos of 1530 Marengo in Guys and Dolls.
