Mrs Lorraine Paulsen of 1333 S Harlem is named Area Chair for the annual 53 minute cerebral palsy march event in Chicago. The Sun Jan 12 1969 march funds benefit the Developmental Center for severely handicapped children and related services. More than 24 000 area residents are affected by cerebral palsy.

Local Girl Joins VISTA Program

Vikings honor first varsity letter to Roy Heinrich
Roy Heinrich of Forest Plc received his first varsity letter with the Augustana Vikings at the annual fall sports banquet. The freshman tackle, son of Elroy and the late Mrs. Heinrich, graduated from Walther Lutheran High School. Peep Hole Proposal Sparks Forest Park Council Debate
The Forest Park village board discussed installing peep holes in all current apartments and future units. Attorney O Shea warned forced installation would be illegal but an ordinance for new buildings could pass. The council approved a pistol range at Madison and Circle after Fire Chief review. Outside counsel was proposed for Lehmer and Marengo matters with a $7500 fee and a test case to be pursued.
