40th Year with Commonwealth Edison marked
Fred J. Steers of 213 Circle celebrated 40 years of service with Commonwealth Edison. He began in 1929 in the meter department, later moved to the underground division, and now serves in the Chicago Central division sales department. A WW II Navy veteran, he belongs to the Commonwealth Edison Post of the American Legion. He and his wife Helen are married 33 years and live in Forest Park. their children and in laws reside in Lombard.

The Kiwanis Club at Homers honored him as senior member of Becker Real Estate, praising his long service since starting in 14, with ties to Forest Park State Bank and partnership with Ernest Reich.
