Kiwanis club members held an Interclub at North Lake on November 22 with Elmer Lussow Don Borman Bill Grieve and Bob Hankett in attendance. Guest speaker Bobby Joe Green discussed his football career as trophies were awarded and a vote to skip the regular meeting was approved. Birthday club announcements and a light poem round out the report.

Mohr Named to Illinois Mental Health Planning Board
Senator Howard R. Mohr of Forest Park announced his appointment to the Illinois Mental Health Planning Board. The 10 public members include four legislators and state mental health representatives, reporting to Gov. Ogilvie. Mohr cites a grassroots approach and community based services to improve local mental health care. He is serving a third Senate term.
