Postpone Alley Paving Action to Next Session
The village council delayed decision on alley paving for one week while opening bids for a fire engine. Bids ranged from 12,000 to 14,000 with delivery windows of 60 days. Absentees signaled attendance at the next meeting and the council planned to consult with the fire chief before final selection. The meeting adjourned to Tuesday, September 6, with Labor Day interfering with the regular schedule.
