Neighborhood Club Plans Season 1920 21 Forest Park
The Neighborhood Club of Forest Park chaired by Mrs Clara Hosler completed its season program for 1920 21. The group will publish the booklet around September 1 with first meeting September 10 at the Community clubhouse Mannah avenue and Adams street. Meetings continue every other Friday through June 24 1921. The club joined the Sixth District federation in 1914 and the state federation in 1916, with sixty eight members and two honorary members Mrs Louise Walther and Miss Katherine Schuster. Officers include Mrs Barbara Horn president and Mrs Mary Licht first vice president. Delegates will attend district federation meetings in Maywood and Oak Park and the state federation in May. The year program lists arts in the park reciprocity day legislative program musical program to benefit the Forest Park Associated Charities and a calendar of lectures and home economics talks featuring Miss Katherine Schuster and Judge Victor Arnold among others.

Clara E Gutenschwager died August 17 1920 after a lingering illness following surgery. Born July 4 1895 in Forest Park she lived in the area her entire life and worked as a time clerk at a local store before joining Leota Food Products in Oak Park. She is survived by parents five brothers and four sisters all residing in Forest Park. The funeral was held at St John’s Church with burial in Concordia.

Car rolls over. Scarpace driver hurt as lamppost demolished

Private Arthur Kramer born July 30 1895 served in Company F 128th Infantry and died of acute peripheral neuritis. After a 1918 burial in Coblenz his body arrived for burial at Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park with full military honors led by the American Legion post. Survived by father Frank Krance of Chicago two brothers Fred Wilbert and sister Barhey Edmas.
