Charles Lopresti an 18 year old Forest Park resident drowned Sunday afternoon at a Lyong quarry while helping friends. He could not swim and did not know the water was deep. E Ticket Agent Dies While On Duty at Metropolitan
Sames PB Wilson, longtime Metropolitan elevated ticket agent, died suddenly on August 10, 1028. He collapsed at Hannah Avenue station after lunch and was pronounced dead at Oak Park hospital. Funeral services were held at St Bernardine's church and Mt Carmel cemetery. He was 53, widowed, with no children, and survived by a brother and three sisters in Minnesota and Cedar Township Iowa. He had lived downtown until moving to the mall building formerly used by E A Cummings Co. at Hannah and Lehmer.
