Robert Van Dyke, son of Mr and Mrs R C Van Dyke of 7237 Jackson Boulevard, was chosen as one of two Oak Park Eagle Scouts to attend the Illinois State Fair in Springfield from August 8 to 24 and help form a new Illinois Rage Troup. They camped on the fair grounds four days before the event and stayed until close, under the guidance of Scout leader Dryfooge, a Springfield figure of distinction.

Harlem Avenue Street Car Injures 8 Year Old Girl
Dorothy Cagnier, eight, daughter of Mr and Mrs Guy R Gagnier of 1039 Marengo avenue, was struck Friday afternoon by a Harlem avenue street car at Harvard street. She is in Oak Park hospital with a badly fractured skull in serious condition. She was with her younger sister and a cousin near Harlem Park when the accident occurred as they halted at the pavement edge to avoid cars and came too close to the street car at the corner.
