The second memorial birthday picnic for Mr. Martin Harrill was held Sunday at Mrs. Charles A. Ford’s home. About 100 relatives and guests from North and South Carolina attended. A portrait of Mr. Harrill and his wife sat on the front porch for all to see as Rev. Ayers led prayers and speakers shared memories.

A largely attended meeting of Forest City Building and Loan Association stockholders was held at City Hall on Wednesday March 12. New officers elected RL Reinhardt as resident W L Brown as secretary treasurer G F Brad and W S Moss as vice presidents John T Poole H Francis Little and J A Dennis named directors with Dennis resigning after two years. By law amendment kept seven directors. Secretary's report praised last year’s six percent earnings and success.

EE Moss Reinhardt Recovering At Hospital
Lee Moss Reinhardt who was seriously injured when struck by a car in front of the high school building on March 6 is improving at Rutherford Hospital. He is the son of Mr and Mrs R L Reinhardt and one of Forest City's finest young lads. Hundreds of friends across the county follow his progress and are gratified he is now out of danger and on the road to recovery. He is expected to return home next Sunday.
