Clark Matheny won first place in a state agrifarm contest by growing 4 280 pounds of lint cotton on five acres at Forest City school with D H Sutton as supervisor. Two local young men Geo. Dorris Tate and Adrian Wilkinson filed applications with the Department of Commerce for amateur radio transmitting stations. Tate has already passed the operator examination.
