Mr W H Dumesny of Rubyvale Stud reports the loss of a yearling named Master Disto last week. While being treated by a veterinarian, the horn reared and fell back onto its tread, fatally injuring the animal. The incident comes during a period of recent success with Master Domie progeny.
Farmers should take delivery of at least half their ordered fertiliser between October and December. Rollways in making deliveries are expected January to May next year. Fertiliser firms will not recognise tentative orders until confirmed and recommend payment for the portion ordered before year end. Mr. Graham noted Nauru Talamd phosphite rock remains in use for siater Woods' Great Peppermint Cure For Influenza Colts.
Forbes Municipal Council backs saleyards expansion with a new plan by Mr Prendergal due September 6. A sub-committee including Mayor Conridge and Ald Brenner reviews highway access, grazing pens, and land acquisition from Weaver Co to enable upgraded yards and storm-water works, with a £27,100 grant to cover costs.
Jemalong Shire Council has applied to the Minister for Public Works and Local Government for assistance under the Commonwealth Aid Roads and Works Act to access funds available to the state. This seeks support for local road and infrastructure projects. The request underscores Jemalong’s effort to improve local services through federal funds.
A city discussion on cattle and sheep yard drainage proposed delaying major work to allow for a unified plan. The sub committee recommended early preparation of a drainage scheme, possible alteration of the water course between the yards and highway, and careful drainage improvements at the earliest date.

An additional Fort service is advised for tonight at 11 5 o clock to help school children and teachers reach their destination without delay. An extra service to Forbes is planned tomorrow morning at the usual time.
The Wangela Shire Council will lodge a formal protest against the proposed intensity of Bowth Canowindra. The protest will be accompanied by protests from residents of the Bowth Canowindra area. This was decided at the last council meeting.
